For History and Culture Enthusiasts: Experience the Imperial Treasury of the Habsburgs in Vienna.
My private guided tour of the Imperial Treasury offers you an excellent opportunity to experience the fascinating history and legacy of the Habsburg dynasty up close.
Details of Your Private Guided Museum Tour:
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Habsburgs and experience over a thousand years of European history during my private guided tour of the Imperial Treasury in Vienna. This unique collection offers an unparalleled insight into the culture and significance of past eras.
Learn more about the important insignia of the Holy Roman Empire, such as the Imperial Crown and the Holy Lance ("Lance of Longinus), which were once symbols of power in Europe. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to view the Crown of Emperor Rudolf II, which later became the Austrian Imperial Crown.
A special highlight is the treasures of the Order of the Golden Fleece, including the impressive ceremonial robes and some of the most valuable jewels of the Habsburgs, including one of the largest emeralds in the world. These treasures reflect the former influence and wealth of the Habsburg dynasty.
You’ll also see two objects once regarded as “inalienable heirlooms of the House of Austria”: a massive narwhal tusk, believed to be the horn of a unicorn, and a late antique agate bowl, venerated as the Holy Grail. What could the true story behind these fascinating artifacts be?
