The Vienna State Opera is one of the most famous opera houses in the world and a landmark of Vienna. Opened in 1869 with Mozart's “Don Giovanni”, the building impresses with its magnificent Neo-Renaissance architecture and diverse program. Around 350 performances are offered annually, including operas, ballets, and concerts. World-renowned artists and conductors regularly perform here, accompanied by a unique orchestra: the State Opera Orchestra, whose musicians also form the Vienna Philharmonic.

This glamorous event attracts prominent figures from politics, business, and culture, as well as visitors from all over the world. The Opera Ball represents elegance and tradition and is the highlight of Vienna’s ball season. In addition to the ceremonial opening by the debutantes and debutants, the evening offers high-class music and dance until the early hours of the morning.
