Processing of Personal Data in Connection with the Use of My Website

Section 3: Collection of Personal Data When Visiting My Website
(1) When using my website for informational purposes only, i.e., if you do not register or provide me with any other information, I only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to my server. When you visit my website, the following data is collected, which is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They are used to make my website overall more user-friendly and effective.

b) Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include session cookies that store a so-called session ID, which allows different requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a set duration, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.
d) You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. However, I would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the features of my website.
Use of Google Analytics
(1) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies," text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the case of IP anonymization being activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated by Google within the European Union member states or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator.
(2) The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google.

(4) This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This ensures that IP addresses are anonymized by truncation, making it impossible to personally identify users. If data collected about you is personally identifiable, it will be immediately anonymized, and any personal data will be deleted promptly.
(5) I use Google Analytics to analyze the usage of my website and improve it on a regular basis. The statistics gained allow me to improve my offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Embedding YouTube and Social Media Components
I have integrated YouTube videos on this website, a video portal operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube allows video publishers to upload and share videos, while users can view, rate, and comment on them for free.
When you play a video on my website by clicking the play button, a connection is made to YouTube’s servers. In doing so, YouTube learns which of my pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before playing the video.
The use of YouTube serves the appealing presentation of my online offerings and constitutes a legitimate interest according to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
